McMaster’s Kinesiology program ranked among world’s best

McMaster Kinesiology has been ranked among the top sport science programs in the world.
ShanghaiRanking ranked McMaster Kinesiology 18th in the world in its first Global Ranking of Sport Science Schools and Departments.
The program ranked second in Canada, behind UBC.

ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking is based on several indicators of academic and research performance, including papers indexed in Web of Science, total citations, citations per paper, papers published in top 25 per cent of journals, and percentage of internationally collaborated papers of an institution.
It is the first attempt to rank a group of institutions and units with the same subject focus by the independent organization that is dedicated to research on higher education intelligence and consultation and the official publisher of the Academic Ranking of World Universities.
