Seasons of Research: Indigenous Studies researchers showcase their work

The McMaster Indigenous Research Institute and department of Indigenous Studies hosted a screening of research videos and a Q&A with faculty members about their work.  


Faculty members from the department of Indigenous Studies took to the silver screen this month to showcase their research .

The department, in collaboration with the McMaster Indigenous Research Institute (MIRI) held the event to educate attendees about Indigenous studies, research and ways of knowing, as well as the work being done at McMaster.

The audience watched a series of videos highlighting research from across the department, followed by faculty comments and a Q&A session.

The films were created by Shane Powless, an Indigenous filmmaker from Six Nations of the Grand River. Check them out below.
