Research out of Lori Burrows' lab has identified a new approach that uses the nature of bacterial nutrient transporters to help antibiotics more effectively reach their targets.
The Canadian Association for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases has named Lori Burrows the recipient of its 2023 John G. FitzGerald Award.
Two others have received renewals in the program created to promote Canada’s role as a global leader in medical innovation.
