The Canadian Pandemic Preparedness Hub is one of five major research hubs and part of a $10 million investment announced March 2 to protect Canadians against future pandemics and emerging threats.
The new investment in McMaster's research enterprise includes more than $8.5 million for biosciences research at Canada's Global Nexus for Pandemics and Biological Threats.
Vaccines developed at McMaster target the lungs first.
