A national initiative designed to promote collaboration and excellence in transfusion medicine research has received $2.3 million from Canadian Blood Services.
The McMaster Platelet Immunology Laboratory (MPIL) has been cemented as Canada’s centre for combatting vaccine-related blood clots thanks to a grant from the Public Health Agency of Canada.
The study also revealed that the antibody profile in the blood of people who have had the virus is extremely variable and this may modify the response to the treatment
