Millions of Canadians juggle employment and informal caring. With the pandemic drastically changing working life, employers have an opportunity to embrace a caregiver-friendly work culture.
New guidelines developed by McMaster researcher Allison Williams, in partnership with the Canadian Standards Association, are aimed at helping employers support workers who are caring for aging, chronically ill, or disabled loved ones while continuing to work full or part-time.
McMaster researchers have been awarded nearly six million dollars in funding through the federal government's Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.
