McMaster researchers who created an accurate, portable diagnostic test have new federal funding to support their work with a company that specializes in developing nanotechnology and health-care solutions.
The research is part of an ongoing, broader effort to establish McMaster as a centre for the development of real-time sensors, pathogen-repellent materials and other products that improve food safety.
The idea of visiting the doctor’s office with symptoms of an illness and leaving with a scientifically confirmed diagnosis is much closer to reality because of new technology developed by researchers at McMaster University.
