McMaster-led projects include the Good Bugs, Bad Bugs program, led by infectious disease researcher Eric Brown, the Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy, led by engineer Gianluigi Botton, and the Canadian Research Data Centre Network, led by economist Mike Veall.
The funding will support the Good Bugs, Bad Bugs program as well as the Canadian Research Data Centre Network.
The discovery of a combination therapy has the potential to change medical practice for the treatment of the drug resistant infections which the World Health Organization has identified as of “critical priority” for their threat to human health.
