Three McMaster University professors have been elected to the Royal Society of Canada (RSC) as fellows, and one has been named to the incoming class of the RSC College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists.
Researchers following a group of extremely low birth weight babies and their normal-birth-weight peers have found that biologically, preemie boys are 4.6 years older in their early 30s.
After the mothers’ treatment, their infants showed healthy changes in their nervous and cardiovascular systems, and they were observed to better regulate their behaviours and emotions.
